Laurie's Teleconference "Teacher He's Hitting Me" October 7th, 2010
Meet Laurie:
Laurie Prusso Hatch is a professor of child development at Modesto Junior College, where she has been employed since fall of 2001. Laurie has been active in statewide projects including the serving as the campus coordinator for the Child Development Training Consortium, serving as a Director Mentor for the California Early Childhood Mentor Program, participating on the advisory committee for the Child Development Works project, and working as a consultant with WestEd on the CSEFEL project. Laurie’s area of interest is social emotional development, especially as it relates to early childhood and parent/child relationships. She is a Certified Trainer for the Positive Discipline Association© and is frequently asked to present workshops and keynote addresses on Relationship Based Discipline and respectful relationships.
Laurie earned her BA in Human Development and MS in Education at California State University, Hayward while raising six sons. She also taught herself to play the guitar and loves to sing, write and play with any of her 15 grandchildren. The combined Prusso-Hatch family includes 13 children and 35 grandchildren.
